NOTICE OF DISMISSAL

WAIHI HOSPITAL MATRON.

DECISION OF THE BOARD. Waihi, Feb. 14. The decision on Saturday evening by the Waihi Hospital Board to ask Miss K. Stevenson, matron of the Waihi Hospital, to hand in her resignation to-day, had a sequel this evening at the monthly meeting of the board, when Mr. T., Jowsey, the chairman, moved that Miss Stevenson be called upon to accept notice of the termination of her engagement on May 14. The motion was carried by 4 votes to 3. Mrs. E. Hughes, who opposed the motion, moved that, as the chairman was not capable of ruling the board in a fair and proper manner, he be asked to resign. There was no seconder to Mrs. Hughes’ motion.
