SUPREME COURT TO-DAY
SEVEN TRIALS; THREE PRISONERS. THREE CIVIL JURY ACTIONS. Seven cases for trial and three prisoners for . sentence comprise the criminal business to be dealt with at the quarterly sessions of the Supreme Court, which are to open ,at New Plymouth this morning before Mr. Justice Ostler. - The trials include'two indictments for allegedly causing actual bodily harm, two alleging conspiracy to defraud* one alleging negligent driving causing bodily harm, one; alleging sheep stealing, and one alleging an indecent assault. . Juries may be required for three ■ civil actions, in two of which claims will be made for damages for injuries received in motor collisions. The other is a claim for £750 general and £7B'l7s special damages fort an Injury alleged to have been received through contact with a circular saw. Five other civil actions have been set down for hearing before the judge alone. ■ There are one case on appeal, eight motions in divorce and four motions for discharge from bankruptcy.
