SERVICE IN WESTMINSTER ABBEY. “WORK ENRICHED LITERATURE.” British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Feb. 9. The Prime Minister, Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, and other Ministers were among many prominent figures in the national life present at a memorial service at Westminster Abbey to Mr. John Galsworthy, the British author who died recently. The Dean of Westminster described Mr. Galsworthy’s life as freely spent in helping those in need and in the cause of peace and goodwill. His work enriched the reputation and the influence of English literature throughout the civilised world.
