AYRSHIRE BREEDERS’ CLUB

MEETING OF COMMITTEE’HELD. The committee of the Taranaki Ayrshire CattL Breeders’ Club met at New Plymouth yesterday. Present: Messrs. W. Hall (chairman), J. O. Morton, A. G. Hall, H. H. Olson, R. W. D. Robertson and R. J. Connett. The chairman reported that the challenge cup for the boyskand girls’ clubs had been purchased and presented to Ruby Simons (Lower Mangorei), last year’s winner of the competition for the champion pedigree Ayrshire calf judged on breed type. In connection with the club’s next sale of female cattle, it was decided to .communicate with the secretary of the New Zealand Ayrshire Cattle Breeders’ Association to ascertain the date of the annual .meeting, which it is proposed to hold at New Plymouth, and asking whether it would be possible to make it Coincide with the club’s sale in the last

week in May. Messrs. W. Hall, Olson and Morton were appointed * sub-com-mittee to confer with the auctioneers regarding details for the sale.
