LANCASHIRE OFFER ACCEPTED.
HIRD, POTENTIAL TEST PLAYER.

Hird, a cricketer who is regarded as a fine all-rounder and potential test match player, has accepted an offer to join the Lancashire league. He will sail in March. He made a century against the South Africans and played fob New South Wales against the Englishmen, when he took six wickets. He also has excellent bowling averages in shield matches.
