DROWNING OF SMALL GIRL
VERDICT OF ACCIDENTAL DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. A verdict of accidentally drowned, with no blame attachable to anyone, was returned at the inquest on Daphne Winter, aged six years, who was drowned While rowing on the Mataura River on New. Year’s Day with her father, Mr. James Winter (Menzies’ Ferry). The body was found a week later.
