FAVOURABLE TRADE BALANCE

POSITION IN UNITED STATES. THE FIGURES FOR NOVEMBER. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Washington, Dec. 20. A favourable trade balance in November of £7,000,000 was announced to-day by the United States Commerce Department in a statement which placed exports at £27,800,000 and imports at £20,800.000. Each figure was lower than that for the previous month. November was the first month since July that the trade figures have shown a decrease. < For the eleven months of the present year there has been a favourable trade balance of £51,236,000, with exports totalling £296,276,000 and imports £245,400,000. The exports, however, were £151,768,000 less than for the same period of the previous year, and imports were £142,332,600.
