Eden, Under-Secretary to the Foreign Office, referred to the resolution of the Disarmament Conference which invited the Powers’ which were parties to the Washington and London Naval Treaties to confer, and stated that conversations had accordingly been taking place. v _ Further efforts had recently been made by the British and American delegations to discover a solution of the outstanding difficulty.
