INGLEWOOD DEFEAT WAITARA. PARKIN TAKES FIVE FOR 6. Inglewood and Waitara cricket teams met at Inglewood;, in the Thursday cricket .competition yesterday, when the home team had a very comfortable win by 90. runs in a one innings match. Waitara batted first, and were all out after 13 overs for the small total of. 21. .There were no extras. . , A feature of the innings was the great bowling of Don Parkin, who in six overs took five wickets for 6 runs. Only one of -hiis overs was a maiden, so the largest, score off one of his overs was two runs. Allen also bowled very well for Inglewood by taking four wickets for 14 rims. No member of the Waitara team was successful in reaching double figures, and the highest scorer was that of McKenner, who reached .8.

. Inglewood’s innings started badly, as Speechly went after he had scored 3, but a great stand was made by Parkin (38) and M. Sutton (22), who added 53 for the second wicket.
