BURDEN PROVES TOO HEAVY. DECISION AT WINNIPEG. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Winnipeg (Manitoba), December 13. All the Catholic schools in Winnipeg will be closed at the end of the year, according to an announcement On Tuesday by Monseigneur A. A. Sinnott, Archbishop of Winnipeg. The public schools will be called upon to provide for 2400 more children in grades one to eight. The archbishop stated .that after more than 40 years’ effort the burden had become greater than could be borne. Ten schools would be closed. It was later announced that the pupils would be accommodated by the public schools.
