Cheering for several minutes, a crowd of 65,000 welcomed the Prince of Wales on his arrival at the Arsenal ground to open the £45,000 double-decker stand. The stand is the last word in football luxury, and increases the capacity to 85,000. ■ ■ - The Prince left early to accompany the King and Queen to welcome the King and Queen of Denmark, who are arriving for a week's visit.
