TRAVEL IN ANTARCTIC

ITS PLEASURES EMPHASISED.

WOMEN TO JOIN EXPEDITION.

By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright, Rec. 10 p.m. New York, Nov. 30. Sir Hubert Wilkins, speaking at a luncheon of tourist agents, said he had been long minded to call attention to the pleasure of Antarctic travel for tourists, who had an unjustifiable fear of the Antarctic. There were no worse storms jn the “Roaring . Forties” than sometimes in the Black Sea. He suggested a world tour via the Orient, the Indies and Australia, thence to the Antarctic from the south of New Zealand, to the Ross Sea and thence to Cape Horn, the Falklands and South America.

Lady Wilkins will accompany her husband on next season’s Antarctic trip. Commander Ellsworth, who plans to marry, will also be accompanied by Mrs. Ellsworth. Lady Wilkins will write .a book on her experiences in the Antarctica. Special apparel will be taken by her ensuring her safety, and comfort.
