W.D.F.U. ACTIVITIES.

RATAPIKO-MANGANUI BRANCH.

A meeting of the Ratapiko-Manganui branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held in the Ratapiko Hall on Tuesday, when Mrs. Long presided over an attendance of 40 members and visitors. An interesting demonstration was given on art silk work by Mrs. Marsh, president of the Inglewood branch. Completed d’oyleys worked by members of the .Inglewood junior branch were shown, as also were ideas for Christmas cards and notepaper, neatly executed and coloured in crayon by Mrs. Allen. Thanks were expressed to Mrs. Marshland members of the Inglewood branch, whose visit and demonstration were much appreciated. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames H. Swanson and G. Hucker.
