RAIN CAUSES INTERRUPTION. After a cessation of play due to the rain, the bowling match between Hawera No. 2 and Park (Hawera) at Park was continued without interruption until the last few heads, which were coni tested in heavy rain. At the adjoum|ment Park had a substantial lead, but in the subsequent play Hawera whittled ;down the advantage until the scores were even. With three games completed, and Maslin (Hawera) holding a 31—19 lead over F. A. Quin, Hawera had a one-point advantage. On the last head Quin scored 4, giving Park a threepoint lead to win by 95 points to 92. Details are:—

HAWERA DEFEATED AT HAWERA. Wet weather interfered with play to such an extent that the match between Hawera No. 1 and Patea at Hawera was decided on the play of 17 heads.
