Excitement was caused in Phillip Street, Sydney, lately, when two constables left the chamebre of Mr. W., A. Holman, K.C., M.H.R., escorting a welldressed man, who was afterward taken to the reception-house. The man had entered the chambers and demanded to see Mr. Holman. On being told that Mr. Holman was engaged elsewhere, he intimated that he was a man of title, and that he had come to obtain a reward for having saved the life of the Prince of Wales. Meanwhile he had become excited and the police were eent for. . ’
To two constables the man elaborated his story. It was to the effect that when he had eaved the Prince of Wales from being bombed while in Sydney he had been promised a reward of £150,000, which was to be handed 1, to him on his 75th birthday. It was his birthday, and he had come to claim the amount, which had been left with Mr. Holman.
