FAST BRITISH MAIL PLANE

MACHINE ALMOST COMPLETED. CRUISING SPEED OF 172 MILES. (British Official Wireless). Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Oct. 25. The construction is nearing completion of a fast mail carrying aeroplane ordered as an experience by the Air Ministry. The machine will have a top speed of 195 miles an hour, a cruising speed of 172 miles an hour and a range of 1000 miles. It is a biplane with two Bristol Pegasus engines. It will carry 10001 b of mails and have an apparatus enabling mails to be dropped or picked up in flight.
