HUNTING CRY WINS STAKES HIGHWEIGHT TO COURAGEOUS. CHESHAM TAKES THE HURDLES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. The Napier Park Racing Clubs spring meeting was held to-day in perfect weather. The going was heavy as the result of recent rains. The totalisator handled £SSBB 10s, against £7328 10s (for eight races) last year. The results arc:—

PRINCE OF WALES STAKES. Of £75. Four furlongs. 2—GIPSY LOVE (G. Jones) >..... 1 I—QUIETLY (McTavish) 2 4—LADY NAN (Anderson) 3 Also started: 5 Ralphyllis, 6 Hint, ‘3 Fintry, 7 Silver. Beam. , Won by two lengths, six lengths between second and third. Silver Beam was fourth. Time, 52sec.

Manifesto led practically all the way to the last fence, where he lost his rider, leaving the outsider to win by three-quarters of a length, with Kimbo two lengths away third. Miss Hastings was fourth. Time, 2min 53 2-ssec.

2—TELLER, SB (Voitre) 3 Also started: 3 Atholspear, 8.5; 6 Vitaphone, 5 Court Lady, 7 Golden, 7.0. Pennant, Court Lady and Vitaphone were the early leaders. Entering the straight Teller made a run; then Chopin came with a great effort. Over the last bit the favourite came through full of running and in an exciting finish- won by -a short neck, with two lengths to the third horse. Vitaphone was fourth. Time, 2min 16sec.

AHL’RIRI HACK HANDICAP. Of £7O. Six furlongs.
