HUNTING CRY WINS STAKES HIGHWEIGHT TO COURAGEOUS. CHESHAM TAKES THE HURDLES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. The Napier Park Racing Clubs spring meeting was held to-day in perfect weather. The going was heavy as the result of recent rains. The totalisator handled £SSBB 10s, against £7328 10s (for eight races) last year. The results arc:—
PRINCE OF WALES STAKES. Of £75. Four furlongs. 2—GIPSY LOVE (G. Jones) >..... 1 I—QUIETLY (McTavish) 2 4—LADY NAN (Anderson) 3 Also started: 5 Ralphyllis, 6 Hint, ‘3 Fintry, 7 Silver. Beam. , Won by two lengths, six lengths between second and third. Silver Beam was fourth. Time, 52sec.
TRIAL HANDICAP. Of £6O. ’Six furlongs. 4— AESCALUS, 8.5 (Voitre) 1 I—GRUMPY, 8.7 (Anderson) 2 5— GOLD RULER, 8.0 (Deslandes) 3
Also started: 6 Bothwell, 8.9; 7 Kahunoke, 8.2; 5 High Grader, 8.2; 3. 'Park Acre, 2 Outward Bound, Cape Fair and Queen’s Diadem (bracketed), 12 Tiger Gain, 9 Admatha, 10 Prince Umberto, 11 Gold Pebble, 8.0. Won by half a length, one length between second and third. High Grader was fourth. Time, Imin 19 l-ssec.
GREENMEADOWS HACK HURDLES. Of £B5. One mile and a-half. 9—GHESHAM, 9.0 (Dulieu) 1 1— JAYSON, 10.10 (H. Dulieu) ... 2 2— KIMBO, 9.0 (Corner) : 3 Also started: 4 Manuiri,, 10.10, 5 Manifesto, 9.6; 6 Miss Hastings, 3 Birdcall, 7 Ex Dono, 8 Puteti, 9.0. Manifesto led practically all the way to the last fence, where he lost his rider, leaving the outsider to win by three-quarters of a length, with Kimbo two lengths away third. Miss Hastings was fourth. Time, 2min 53 2-ssec.
PARK STAKES. Of £ll5. One mile and a-quarter.

2—TELLER, SB (Voitre) 3 Also started: 3 Atholspear, 8.5; 6 Vitaphone, 5 Court Lady, 7 Golden, 7.0. Pennant, Court Lady and Vitaphone were the early leaders. Entering the straight Teller made a run; then Chopin came with a great effort. Over the last bit the favourite came through full of running and in an exciting finish- won by -a short neck, with two lengths to the third horse. Vitaphone was fourth. Time, 2min 16sec.
AHL’RIRI HACK HANDICAP. Of £7O. Six furlongs. S—SABATINI, 7.8 (Scullin) 1 2— POSY, 7.5 (Shand) 2 3- 8.3 (Atkins) 3 Also started: 1 Courtyard, 8.2; 2 Sir Pombal, 7.8 (bracketed with Posy), 4 Princess Bell, 7.5; 7 Lady Ronald, 7.2; 6 Kinross, 7.2; 8 Grand Lahu, 7.2; 9 Joy Stick, 7.0.
