SEASONAL WORKERS’ RELIEF
BOARD COMPLETES SCHEME. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 3. A scheme by which the Unemployment Board plans to give relief to seasonal workers has been finalised. The principle is that the maximum measure of relief during the off period is to be such that when added to the earnings for the working season it will make a total not greater than £26 above .the full measure of relief the worker might have gained had he been wholly engaged on relief for the whole year. Seasonal workers will be required to secure confirmation .of their earnings from freezing companies or other employers.
