SERVICE SHOOTING 'PRACTICES. ■Shooting under service conditions was held by the New 'Plymouth Defence Rifle Club at the Rewa Rewa range on Saturday. Conditions were good but there was only a small attendance. Three practices were held, application, rapid and snap shooting, the possible being 95. The best scores were:- —

MINIATURE RIFLE MATCH HELD. A triangular miniature rifle match between the men’s and ladies’ ‘branches of the New Plymouth Rifle Club and the Waitara Miniature Rifle Club was won by the New Plymouth men’s (branch by the narrow margin of one point from the ladies’ branch. The team from the Waitara Club, which has 'been in existence only a short time, was 66 points behind third. Details are:— New Plymouth men: W. Short 66, S. G. Higgs 65, J. G. Turnbull 65, R.
