NEW PLYMOUTH HARRIERS
RUN FROM MOTUROA SCHOOL. Twenty-one members of the New Plymouth Harriers’ Club on Saturday met at Moturoa school for the. weekly run. The weather was ideal and a run of about six miles was enjoyed. Leaving the school the course lay past the domain and across country, over South Road just above Windy Point, and on past the western end of Barrett’s Lagoon. There the pace-makers, F. White and J. Crombie, turned and headed for Omata. The going was rather slow on account of a number of steep hills. The course taken from Omata was across country past the oil bore and on to Ngamotu Road about one mile from the starting point. A short spell was taken and then at intervals the runners were sent off for the run home. Brisk Avork was done by a few of the boys.
Next week the club chaCSSonships are to be held, starting from the racecourse at 2.30 p.m. The following Saturday the race from Waitara will be held, and so far good entries have bfuju received.
