' It is understood that further conversations concerning the proposed British Empire games have rendered it unlikely that Australia will be chosen for the venue. Financial allowances tentatively offered by Canada and Britain have made the choice of Toronto or London most likely since distant teams would be assured of all expenses save transportation.
