MEETINGS OF THE CABINET.

Wellington, Last Night. The Rt. Hon. G. W. Forbes was fully engaged with Cabinet business to-day; He presided at a meeting of the Ministry in the morning and again in the afternoon, the second gathering lasting until early evening. The Hon. R. Masters returned to Wellington from Christchurch this morning. The Hon. C. E. Macmillan "will leave for a tour of, the West Coast district next Tuesday. He will leave that evening for Nelson and the following day •will visit the Golden Hope goldfield near Tophouse, the Owen colliery and the dredging works at Wynns Application and the Mammoth Race, then going to Murchison. On Thursday he will visit Westport and Charleston and the next day the principal mines in Buller. He will leave for Greymouth on August 20, going thence to Christchurch the same morning.
