WEDDINGS

THOMPSON—THOJIAB. The wedding took place at the Methodist Church, Otorohanga, on July 27, of Alison Thomas, youngest daughter of Mrs. Thomas and the late Mr. S. Thomas, of “Whitton,” Kio Kio, to Lorimer Thompson, only son of Mr. and Mrs. \V. L. Thompson, Liardet Street, New Plymouth. The Rev. A. Sylvester performed the ceremony. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr. Fred Thomas, wore a gown of ivory satin. Her embroidered veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of blush carnations and freesias. Miss Rere Thompson, sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid, and accompanying her was a flower girl, Elspeth Hood, niece of the bride. Mr. James Austin, New Plymouth, was best man. A reception was held at Otorohanga, and later the young couple left for Wellington. The service was a choral one, and the church was decorated by friends of the bride.
