That White Streak. Mayfair’s fashionable coiffeurs are not findincr life too easy just now, states the Daily Mail. Scores of young women have fallen for the white streak craze and, as one hairdresser put it rather plaintively, will not believe that a snowwhite strand cannot be produced at will by artificial means. “Large sums,” he said, ‘'are being offered to us by wealthy girls to bleach a streak snow white, but we cannot do the impossible. If you see a white strand in a woman’s hair, you may be quite sure it is natural. Bleaching can only result in one or other of the very palest gold tints.”
