FLOCK HOUSE SELECTION
TWO TARANAKI BOYS CHOSEN. ADDITIONAL FUNDS REQUIRED. The North Taranaki selection committee of the Flock House scheme for the training of sons of returned men has made the final selection from the applications received. Tha boys chosen aro J. T. Brough, Waitara, aged 15, the son of a widow whose husband died in England as the result of war wounds, and Frederick Soar, New Plymouth, aged 14, the son of a disabled returned man. The order of preference was; Sons w deceased soldiers, sons of disabled soldiers, and sons of able-bodied returned soldiers. The two boys selected will leave in about two weeks for Flock House to commence their training. . In order to bring Soar strictly Within the condition of perfect physical condition, Mr. F. N. Whitcomb© has offered to attend to his teeth free ox charge. - Th© scheme still requires further assistance as at present the amount in hand is £2B-of the. required sum of £ap.
