QUEEN CARNIVAL PROGRESS. Following is the result of the third official count in the Tariki queen carnival:— Town candidate (Miss D. Butler)
Mountain candidate (Miss M. Dombroski) 3320. Sports candidate (Miss V. Hall) 2618. A very successful euchre party was held in the Tariki hall on Saturday the committee for the town candidate. The prizes were won by Mrs. E. Therkleson and Master L. Rumball. This is the first of a weekly series of five with good prizes at end of series. A sandwich supper was served by the ladies. The Tariki Hockey Club will hold its third dance in the Tariki hall to-night, the features of the evening being the waltzing and foxtrot contests, also splendid euchre prizes. Nothing is being spared to provide all patrons with the night of their lives. The Regal Orchestra has been engaged. Free buses will run from Eltham, Stratford and Inglewood.
