GENERAL AND PERSONAL ITEMS. The sports dance drew a large crowd and about £23 was taken at the door. A party was given at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth, by Mr. and Mrs. Norgate in honour of their son Raynor’s 21st. birthday. There were several guests. A party of ten motoorists leaving for the Auckland district to spend about two weeks’ holiday includes Mrs. A. Chapman senr., Mr. and Mrs. Fred Chapman, Miss Buttler and Mr. S. Mackey. A kitchen party is being held to-night in the hall in honour of Miss Keitha Clarke, who is to be married shortly. Mr. and Mrs. Tyrrell hope to leave for their new home about the end of the month. The basketball girls were taken to Okato by Mr. C. Tyrrell and Mrs. Farquhar. They were beaten by 7 goals to 3. Mrs. F. M. Chapman, who has died at Hawera, was greatly esteemed while living at Rahotu. She and her family resided here for a great number of years. Mr. and Mrs. Chapman came to Rahotu about 1882. The Chapman brothers here are her grandsons, and two are living in the first homestead.
