DOUBLE DROWNING FEARED

WAIRARAPA LAKE ACCIDENT.

TWO YOUNG MEN DISAPPEAR.

Masterton, Last Night.

A double drowning fatality is believed to have occurred on Wairarapa Lake to-day. Two young men set out in a boat ewan shooting, to-day being the opening of the season. They were accompanied by a dog, which has returned, and the upturned boat has been found on Lake Unoke, near Lake Ferry. One of the boys was working for Arthur Warren, Firinoa, and the other was friend from Wellington. The names of the youths could not be ascertained to-night. The accident is believed to have occurred on the eastern side of the lake.
