KAPONGA CLUB MATCHES. 1 The Kaponga Defence Rifle Club fired a further stage of the championship and handicap championship last Wednesday. The day was very wet. Following are the best scores; —

On Saturday the Okato Club bred a friendly nlatch with the Kaponga Club on the “Mountain View” range', Rowan. Kaponga won by 13 points. The best score of the day was put on by D. Hollard, Kaponga, while C. Putt (95) was top scorer for Okato.
