The following football results are reported by,the Press Assocation by telegraph:—.

Wellington.

Rugby Union: Poneke 21 beat Oriental 11, Wellington 16 beat University 5, Hutt 36 beat Miramar 14, Athletic 16 beat Old Boys 6, Petone 20 beat Berhampore 4, Eastbourne 28 beat Marist 13. Eight of the twelve teams in the competition have suffered defeat with only two series played. The unbeaten teams are Poneke, Petone, Wellington and Eastbourne. Christchurch.

Rugby Union: ‘ Sydenham 11 beat Christchurch 9, Albion 8 beat Old Boys 6, Merivale 32 beat Linwood 6, Varsity 21 beat Athletic 11.

Rugby League: Linwood 38 beat Riccarton 9, Addington 22 beat Sydenham 5. Association: Charity Cup final, Westeili 4 beat Rangers 1.
