A hen. in County Waterford has laid 312 eggs during one year, and someone has offered 120 for it.
While a mason was repairing one of the walls of the Palazzo Santo Bono (Naples) he put his pick into a mehe Which disclosed an old fresco depicting St. Januarius stopping the lava whi cn was pouring from Vesuvius and threatened to bury the city. The mason fainted with excitement when he realised what he had discovered; the news of it spread through the thickly populated neighbourhood like wildfire, and in a very short time the street was blocked with crowds.
