London, April 4. At the inquest on Edward Majoribanks, M.P., who was found shot, Lord Hailsham, in emotional tones, detailed his concern over his stepson’s sleeplessness and dejection, causing fears of a nervous breakdown. He recalled Majoribanks’ saying on March 30 that he had hardly slept for a fortnight. The coroner returned a verdict of suicide while of unsound mind.
