MEN DEFEAT WOMEN
CRICKET MATCH AT BRIXTON. At Brixton on Saturday the Western Park Cricket Club defeated the Brixton ladies’ team on the first innings by 62 runs. Batting first, the men had only 46 runs on for six wickets, but mainly owing to scores of 50 not out by Ford and 32 by Rutherford, they finished with 137 runs. The ladies replied with 75, Miss E. Herbert 19, and Miss Bovett 12, being top scorers. In a second strike the ladies had 72 runs for five wickets (Miss J. Muir 13) when stumps were drawn. Details were:— . ' ' WESTERN PARK. .
