Rec. 12.25 a.m. Sydney, March 10. An armed man entered the manager s office of a brick and tile works in the suburb of Stanmore to-night, forced Arthur Shannon, the proprietor, to sign a cheque for £950, and decamped. Shannon gave the alarm and three police after a terrific fight overpowered and arrested the alleged culprit, Charles Rich. Several charges will be preferred.
