BOWLING CHAMPIONSHIPS
PLAY FOR PAIRS COMMENCED TWO MORE ROUNDS NECESSARY. LEADERS OF VARIOUS SECTIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Sectional play in the pairs event of the New Zealand Bowling Association’s annual championship tournament was commenced to-day. Three rounds of section play were completed, but a further two rounds will be required to-day before the winners of the. separate sections are ascertained. . Players and spectators were again favoured by fine weather, but a strong easterly breeze made conditions more than a little tricky on those greens playing north and south. Greens played iaster°than on either of the previous days and again gave the players a perfect surface.
