WOMAN TRIPS ON FOOT BRIDGE. WIFE OF MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ashburton, Jan. 11. Lucy Laetitia, wife of Jeremiah Connolly, M.P. for Mid-Canterbury, died at home at Rakaia yesterday in distressing circumstances. She was crossing a foot bridge over a water-race when she tripped, striking her head and being stunned. Death was apparently due to drowning. Airs. Connolly was 46 years of age -■ and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. O’Holloran, Glentui. She was Mr. Connolly’s second wife and had a daughter, aged six, and a son, aged four.
