TARANAKI TENNIS TOURNEY
FURTHER ARRANGEMENTS MADE. Further arrangement® for the conduct of the Taranaki provincial lawn tennis championships to be held at New Plymouth from January 5 to 9 were made by a meeting of the tournament committee last night. The president of the Taranaki Lawn Tennis Association, Mr. E. Griffiths, presided over an attendance of 15. The following committees were appointed: Handicapping, Messis. C. H. Strombom, D. Ballantyne, T. McAllum, P. Ewart, A. W. Scott, A. V. Sowry, E. Griffiths, J. Redman, J. Logie, N. Balharry, A. Little and Dr. Allan; umpire committee, Messrs. P. Allan, D. Ballantyne and J. Logie; grounds committee, Messrs. N. Balharry, R. H. Newing, C. Saxton and E. Griffiths; entertainment committee, Messrs. L. Christie, T. McAllum, J. Logie, C. H. Strombom and A. W. Scott. Tent steward® appointed were Messrs. A. Little, N. Balharry and P. Ewart. 1
It was decided that the admission price should be Is on each of the first four days and Is Cd on the concluding day, children under 14 to be charged 6d. Season tickets will be 4s.
