AGGREGATE RACES AT BATHS. ARRANGEMENTS for carnival. The club night of the Fitzroy Surf Club was held last night at the New Plymouth baths, when the weather was finer than on previous club nights and the attendance good- The water was warm. Details of the aggregate events are;— 1 Girls’ 33 1-3 yards: M. Hookham (4 sec) 1, D. Cock (scr) 2, D. Charters (Bsec) 3. Time, 29eec. Five started. (Boys’ 50 yards: L. Charters (scr) 1, L. Riley (4sec) and Len Bennett (scr) 2, B. McKechnie (2sec) 4. Nine started. ’Ladies’ 33 1-3 yards: Miss J. Davidson (2sec) 1, Miss C. Marsh (3sec) 2, Misses J. Charters (scr) and A. Blair (Isec) dead-heat 3. Time, 23 2-ssec. Five started. Men’s 50 yards: R. Voullaire (3sec) and H. J. Thomas (scr) dead-heat 1, H. South (3sec) 3. Time, 35sec. Five st3<rt6xi» Open dive: Misses J. Charters (23 points) and C. Marsh (23) dead-heat 1, Len Bennett 3. Ten entered. A meeting of the executive was held to continue carnival arrangements. Officials were appointed as follow; Starter, Mr. W. H. Moyes; check starter, Mr. V. Garth; marksman, Mr. G. F. Bertrand; call stewards, Mrs. Gayton, Messrs. M. Smale and J. F. Devine; judges, Messrs. W. N. Stephenson, H. V. S- Griffiths, P. E. Stainton and 9. Bennett; timekeepers (for one mile championship), Messrs. F. Clarke, J. Bennett and V. Dalgleish; rope stewards, Messrs. R. Harris and J. Innes; judges of diving, Messrs. Blennerhassett and D. Sykes; official recorders, Messrs. R. Hogarth and C. H. Plumtree; doorkeepers, Messrs. F. W. Gayton and J. Scoble; announcer, Mr. R. Day; handicappers, Messrs. J. W. Moorhead, C. H. Plumtree and H. J. Thomas. The club decided not to enter a team in the Patea New Year competitions. The next club night was fixed for the first Tuesday in January. The secretary’s action in entering Dalgleish and Garth Cup polo teams waa confirmed. 1
