Phillip James Mond, aged 42, and Victor Cunningham were arrested tonight on a charge of conspiracy after a long interrogation concerning the affairs of Ocean Investment Trustees Ltd. and the Britannia Bank Ltd. (a bank for Australia which was to have a capital of £100,000,000). Mond, whom the police believe originally came from Auckland, asserts the Britannia Bank and the other ventures have been the subject of wide discussion among bankers here and abroad.
