ITALIAN LUXURY LINER
RECORD SPPED ANTICIPATED. 50,000-TGNNER BUILT LIKE YACHT. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rome, Aug. 1. Italy’s 50,000-ton luxury liner Rex was launched to-day in the presence of the King and Queen at Genoa. It is predicted that the vessel will make the journey from Naples to New York in seven days, or three days below the record. It is built like a yacht and is freely gyroscoped to prevent rolling and pitching. It is designed to eteam at 27 knots.
