RECORD NUMBER OF WET DAYS. Many thought July would be a record wet month, but although the fall was considerably above the average it was over 4 inches below the record fall. ( During July, 1931, 13.23 inches fell on 27 days. Twenty seven wet days beat by one the record number of wet days for any month. The heaviest fall during the. past month was on the 13th, when 2.64 inches fell. On the Sth and 9th there were falls of over an in c b- or July of 1930 7.46 inches fell on 13 days. The record fall for July was in 191 a,. when 17.56 inches fell on 12 days, with a fall of-6.42 inches on the 21st. In Jly, 1917, 16.74 inches fell on. 26 days. The wettest month yet experienced was that of October, 1920, when 18.91 inches fell on IS days with the record fall or 7.34 inches on the 27th. The dryest July was in 1922, when 3.72 inches fell on <> days. The average fall for July since the rain guage has been taken at Inglewood is 10.02 inches.
