(From Our Own Correspondent.) The last of the card club’s §eries of euchre parties was held •’ ou f Tuesday cyeniug. There was a large attendance,, 17 tables being occupied. The winners: were Aliss T. Clark (13 games)’ 1; Mrs. DravitSki (12 games) 2;’ Air. N. Bracegirdle (1-li games) 1, Air. F. Dravltski (13J games) 2. The consolation prizes wept to Aliss G. Riley’and Aliy P. Her-' lihy, each winning games. At the “wind-up” euchre party aiid damie the aggregate prizes will be awarded. A surprise “kitchen evening” was held at Air. and Airs. J. Ryan's residence, Norfolk Road, on Wednesday in honour of the. approaching marriage, of Aliss Catherine Ryan and Air. John Blanchard, Inglewood. . Mr. W. Herlihy senr., Tauinarunui, is visiting his spn, Air. W. Herlihy, Kaimata Road, who has been confined to his bed for two .weeks. A very severe thunder storm passed over Ktiimafa in the early hours of Friday morning.
