FUTURE AIR SERVICE

IDEAL OF OTAGO CLUB. FAST TRIP TO AUCKLAND. ■ A fast air passenger service between Dunedin and Auckland, occupying from six to seven hours, is the ideal of the Otago Aero Club, stated the president at the annual meeting of the Otago Expansion League. He said the trip could not be done until a good deal of preliminary work was carried out. The trip was not safe at present. More efficient meteorological advice and wireless direction stations for flying in the dark and in bad weather were needed. The cost would be a mere bagatelle compared with the costs of rail and road construction.
