DRINK OF MILK DEFEATS POISON.
SALTS KEPT IN ZINC-LINED BOX.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Ashburton, Last Night. Drinking hot milk after medicinal salts probably saved the life of the Rev. A J. Petrie, who was dangerously ill for several hours. His mother-in-law, Mrs. Parkinson, aged 70, was also seriously ill, but was taken to hospital and is progressin". The alleged salts contained sulphate of zinc, having been contained in a zinc-lined instead of the usual unlmed wooden box.
