CORDITE FACTORY TRAGEDY SOME OF VICTIMS DISAPPEAR GRIM MYSTERY IN ENGLAND SHOCK FELT 20 MILES AWAY By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 9 p.m. London, June 24. Ten were killed and 23 injured in an explosion at the Royal Naval cordite factory at Holton Heath. Some of the victims totally disappeared. All the victims worked in the nitroglycerine department, where the explosion originated. Annihilation crashed upon them with tragic suddenness. The cause of the explosion will probably never be discovered. A column of blood-red smoke mounted skyward from the building which housed the nitroglycerine department. The building was razed. The shock affected houses for 20 miles around the factory.
