Griffiths stated that the needlecraft Circle of the TfttailftM Women’s Club Were again donating it dressed doll to be competed for lit aid of the district litifse flifid. A Vote of thanks was accorded the ladies of tile needlecraft circle and the Trained. Nurses’ Association for making many useful garments for the poor. Sister Gill reported on the clothes drive on Saturday and. arrangements were made for members to help with the sorting and distribution Of the clothes. Sister. Gill having intimated her desire to fall in with the other nurses, it was decided that a 10 per cent, cut in salary should take effect commencing next month. Sister Gill’s report was:—“Work has been much the same during the past month. Examinations in practical nursing were conducted at the public hospital. New garments have been received from the Trained Nurses’ Association of material supplied by the National Council of Women. Statistics are:—New pationts on register, 7; patients discharged, 3; patients transferred to hospital" 3; patients remaining, 0; visits to homes, treatment and advice, 87; Visits to homes (inquiries), 110; visits to charitable aid recipients, 45; clothing supplied to 2d families, Jis articles. The committee acknowledged the following gifts; Clothing, Mcsdamep Hosking and E. Humphries, blisses R. White, E. Hof-kin aiid J, Curtis, Mr. Bone, Ntirsei- Home and Anon; bed covers, Mrs. E. A. Walker; vegetables, Mesdames Stephenson and. Watelstoii; meat, Anon; sbup, Mrs, Skiiiiier; provisions, Mrs. Hayton and Air. W. H. Skinner; cakes, etc., Ngamotu Lodge, per Mr. SimpkiSßj push chair, MrA Bottfill. A donation Was received from Miss J, Curtis. The honorary secretary (Mrs. Montague Avery) acknowledged subscriptions from Mr. AV. F. Gordon and Mrs. 'A. H. Bailey. . The next Sewing meeting of the district nurse sewing committed Will, be on Wednesday at St. Mary’s Hall in the Sewing room of the St. Mary’s Ladies Sewing Guild. The 'secretary reported that the use of this room had been granted.
