KITCHEN TEA AT KAPUNI.
Friends of Aliss K. Crossley and Air. Alec Alowat gathered at the residence of Air. I. Andreoli, Kapuni, on Wednesday to give the young couple a “kitchen tea.” The evening was spent with dancing, musical items and songs. Air. H. Eliason asked the guests to accept a number of gifts with the good wishes of the assemblage. He referred to the good qualities of the Crossley family as neighbours, his acquaintance with them having -extended over a great many years. Other speakers who voiced complimentary sentiments were Alessrs. H. Whalen, J. Gariilin, W. Wheeler and L. C. Dahinden. ENGAGEMENT. STEPHENS—ANSLEY. The engagement is announced of Constance Shirley, younger daughter of Air. and Mrs. F. Ansley, Warwick Road, Stratford, to Tom, second son of Airs. Stephens, Waipawa, and the late Air. H. Stephens, Wiltshire, England.
