Jack (“Lpgs”) Diamond, the notorious gangster, was critically wdundcd by shot-gun slugs in an Aera (New York) road house. He was seated Wifii a companion at a meal when he suddenly rose and went to the door. The guests heard shots and found him on the floor. A passing fanner, took him arid his companion to the Albany Hospital. Diamond wap shot before in October, 1927, and again last August, from which he recently recovered.
