‘•TENNIS AT TARATA. (From Our Own Correspondent.) On Thursday afternoon the Inglewood Tennis Club played a return match with Tarata at Tarata, and was successful by 14 sets and 118 games to 10 sets and 99 games. The visitors were most hospitably entertained by the country club and a very enjoyable afternoon was spent, as the weather was perfect for tennis. CAR DROPS OVER A BANK. - -- •’ i Yesterday afternoon a motor-car driven by Mr. A. E. Chard, accompanied, •by his two daughters, went over a bank on Wortley Road and fell six or eight feet and turned completely upside down, coming to a standstill with the wheels up in the air. The passengers escaped injury, though the ladies suffered from shock. The body of the car was not i hurt, but the hood was smashed in and the windscreen broken.
