MOVE TO' REDUCE DIVIDENDS. PROPOSAL IN N.S.W. ASSEMBLY. By Telegraph—Press' Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Feb. 24. Mr. Justice Davidson, Royal Commissioner, having reported that the prices of gas at present charged in Sydney are not in excess of the amount required to pay statutary dividends, the Minister of Mines, Mr. T. M. Baddeley, announces a Bill amending the Gas Act, removing the right of a fixed dividend of 8 per cent. The effect, it is expected, will be a reduction of the price of gas.
